Judge Denise Childress recently had the distinct privilege to be asked to appear as a guest on the Supreme Court of Missouri's new podcast, Missouri Law Matters. Judge Childress was one of the first four associate judges across the state to be featured. Previous guests include Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice Brent Powell, Supreme Court Judges Mary Russell and Kelly Broniec, as well as Eastern District Court of Appeals Judge Rebeca Navarro-McKelvey. Her episode was just the 15th to air!!
The host, Southern District Court of Appeals Judge Matt Hamner, discusses with Judge Childress what her experience has been like on the bench and about what people can expect in her courtroom, as well as other aspects of serving St. Charles County citizens from the bench.

From holding a government position on the St. Charles City Parks & Recreation Board to teaching groups like the St. Charles County Citizens Police Academy 2.0, Judge Childress has served Saint Charles County citizens in many different ways prior to taking the bench and holds her responsibility to fairness, integrity, and the law in the utmost regard.
The 11th Judicial Circuit covers Saint Charles County, Missouri. This position has jurisdiction over all St. Charles municipalities: St. Charles City, Foristell, Flint Hill, Dardenne Prairie, Village of Josephville, Weldon Spring, St. Paul, O'Fallon, New Melle, St. Peters, Augusta, Cottleville, Portage Des Sioux, Lake St. Louis, West Alton, and Wentzville.
Judge Childress's docket consists of cases involving pro se family matters, small claims, ex parte orders of protection for adults and juveniles, expungements, structured settlements, criminal non-support, and an associate civil law day docket with matters which include landlord tenant, collections, breach of contract, and the like.
Her docket will rotate every two years.
